Move to Sub-Folder Based on File Name
If you need to do more than simply move files to a fixed "Move To" target folder then choose from the following "Sub Folder" options:
First letters of the filename to decide on the Sub-Folder
The simpliest of the options: use first 'n' letters to construct the sub-folder off of the target folder already specified.
So, "Tax2015.pdf" using n=3 would create (or use if the folder already exists) a sub-folder called "Tax" and all files starting with "Tax" would use this rule.
Regular Expressions (RegEx)
Use one of the predefined RegEx options from the drop down or type in your own. You should use the "RegEx Builder" to test the expression before saving.
Advanced Options
It is also possible to build a complex target path which is completely dynamic, based on the file name (See "TV Shows" predefined RexEx in drop down).
You can use one of the predefined expressions or make your own. You should use the "RegEx Builder" to test the expression before saving.
Remember, when selecting this option, you will effectively be ignoring any target folder you may have selected to begin with because you have chosen to build the entire path dynamically.
