ModemWatcher

A few bugs fixed and features added:

• Discrete Data Points added to the line graph
• Improved the ADSL Reset Threading model
• Mouse-over on tray icon shows latest readings
• Pop-up messaging for ADSL Reset process
• Improved Logging Detail

ModemWatcher provides a front-end for ADSL Modems/Routers showing statistics like “Sync Speed” and “Downstream Noise” – the two key indicators for a good ADSL download experience. Furthermore, some modems are slow to reset the ADSL line after disconnection or, in some cases, the internet is offline but the ADSL line appears to be up and no reset occurs. This is where ModemWatcher will assist with an automated modem reset of the ADSL line (when supported) to try and bring the connection online as quickly as possible.

Note: As a “Version 1″, there may be a few bugs to iron out – please email these through. Also, I have not decided on the final model for upgrading the SQL CE database while still maintaining existing data so updates MAY overwrite your database. Since the database is mainly only holding line statistics which are not really useful as historic data, this is not a priority for the moment.

Modems currently supported: Zyxel P-660 Series. Additional models may be included based on demand.
